Why do you only get to choose between those two? If you want a perfect indoor dog, get a maltese, they don't even shed. But between the two you mentioned, I'd get a Shih-tsu.

now thats a nice dog, too bad my wife is scared of dogs that size. she had a bad experience with big dogs.
