Poll: Should I get a laptop or tower for work?

I need a new PC at work and I don't get to build it. I'm trying to decide between a laptop and a tower. With a laptop, I would be get a docking station and run it through a 19" monitor, so display size isn't really an issue. It seems to really come down to price, portability and expandability.

Tasks: Web dev with Dreamweaver and ColdFusion Studio. Oracle tools. Fireworks, Photoshop and Flash.

I currently have a 300MHz Celeron laptop that is a bit slow, and a G4 Mac that's a couple years old. As a designer I've spent most of my time on the Mac for graphics and will still do the cross-platform thing, but I don't have any issues with running Photoshop on the PC either.

I have computers at home, so it's not like I need a laptop to take home, but there are other uses like client presentations.

The tower would probably be a Dell since that's what we buy at work. The laptop could be Dell or could be something else if I really want it. If I could build a box I wouldn't be asking here.

Decisions, decisions. Anyone have opinions?

For the apps you use i'd probably go with a tower. you can get a MUCH faster tower system for the same price as a decent laptop.

Guess you just have to figure out if you *really* need something you can take to client presentations....

I agree.

Okay, so the two comments are for the tower, but the votes are basically neck and neck. Anybody from the laptop camp want to chime in on suggestions for a good laptop?
