That's in milliamp hours. To get watt hours you have to multiply the volts by the amps.

Be sure to charge them once a month. Just like a car battery (they are rechargeable batteries too), leaving any rechargeable battery sitting without a charge is very bad practice.

They are going to be used frequently. No issues there. :)

How do I test the real capacity of a NiMH battery? I hate it when a set of NiMH batts die real quickly and I don't know which one was the culprit.

Here are many cheap voltometer testers. They will tell you how much power your battery is putting out at any one time.

http://www.thomas-distributing.com/battery_testers.htm

I have one and always use it to determine when one battery is significantly lower capacity than the other. Also, I have found that in a device that uses more than one battery, sometimes it seems that the device is pulling more juice from one battery than the other.

If you want to really find out the actual capacity of each battery, you will have to pay quite a bit ($100) for a device that can test that.

Edit, well maybe now. This thing was twice the price a year or two ago.

i've got a couple of 1400SCR sub-C packs... they're about a decade old. now you can get AA sized cells with that much capacity. and your sub-Cs are putting out 3800 mah

I didn't read every single post but I only see a link to batteryspace.com?

Do you have a link to the specific product page?

I did post the exact product link.
Here it is again.

I have had a good experience with battery space's prices and quality. I am still on the set of 40 that my brother and I split 3 years ago. They usually have the best prices.

Are they going to be use often enought to be cycle through every 2-3 months?

NiMH batteries require to be charge, other wise their internal power drain would drop the voltage to well below 1V that render them useless (can't be recharge). Even with regular usage NiMH batteries will die after 3-5 years, therefore purchase them as you need it is the best solution.

I bought 12x 2300mAh MAHA AAs like a year back. Haven't used them much though. I thought it was overkill. They're for my Canon digicam.
