Mrsskoorb says no because it's an old cheap car. My argument is that when we get rid of the car I can move the sub to another one, so a sub would offer years of family enjoyment for everyone. Moroever, I would want to spend a scant $150 tops on it, so I see no problem with the idea.

*UPDATE* I'm allowed to buy a sub as soon as we get all the furniture we need for the house! So, bedroom furniture, dining room furniture, and another seat for the living room and I can "buy whatever you want". Well, needless to say I'm never getting a subwoofer :(

I have 2 10"s in my 1989 Camry!!!!!!! You can't hear it from outside anyways. What's wrong with enjoying music?

Do you have any outstanding debts besides car/house? (ie...credit card, dell, etc?) If not, and if you have enough money budgeted to spend $150... it should be ok. You need to let her have $150 to spend as well, however, since she doesn't agree.

I don't see any reason why you shouldn't.

A friend of mine and his wife compromised on getting a woofer for their car. She said it would be okay as long as it wasn't anything crazy that would shake the neighborhood.

If I remember correctly, Skoorb couldn't isntall the headunit himself. I'm guessing he's gonna let Mrs. Skoorb handle the wiring.

The first unwise purchasing decision in my life was a $1200 sound system for my car, my first semester of college. It sounded very nice, and I miss it, but I didn't have the money for it. And now that I don't have a system it bugs me when people with subs are near me in traffic. 9/10 times I look over and its some thug fvckup with his hat on sideways in an old pos. I want to punch their teeth in. I was one of the 1/10 that looked normal.

If you REALLY want to make it portable, and are planning on getting another small car, get a bazooka or a kicker tube with the amp built in.

There are many more ways to spend $150....sub for the sentra is NOT practical whether we have budgeted or not for it....Skoorb knows that, although he will pretend not to....if I said I wanted $150 in clothes, he would choke.

one less trunk vibrating POS to have to sit next to at a stop light.

It's a good thing.

Skoorbie IS denied. If he keeps this up, $150 for the hotel room! :p

(just kidding...he is too cute for that AND he knows better!)
