he shouldn't be kicked off. Just because he dislike bush and his stations parent company happens to be a contibutor to bush's campaign. This is all a nonsense.

He should be kicked off the air, not because of what he said, but because he's completely unfunny, unclever, and highly annoying.

If clear channell decided to take him off the air, then it is their choice. That isn't censorship.

If a government agency forced their hand, then we have a problem. But to my knowledge this didn't happen...

Actually you are wrong. They took Howard off a day before they were going infront of Congress. So yes the government did force their hand.

No, he shouldn't be forced off the air. But, on the other hand, it's nice/would be nicer if networks would clean themselves up and start offering programming that wasn't filled with as much... what's the word for it?... as much stuff in poor taste? as much stuff insensitive to the values/morals of society as a whole?

That's like asking "why is reality-tv so popular?" And I disagree with "his novelty wears off after a few viewings"....I've been listening to him every day for 17 years and his 'novelty' hasn't worn off on me yet, and obvioulsy not on his millions of listeners.

The following is a list of people, some of whom I previously respected on this forum, who should have their right to vote taken away, since they obviously don't understand the 1st Amendment or the basic principles of our country. Those who would agree with the government's censorship of someone's voice, simply because they don't agree with what they're saying, are a threat to our country and our way of life. More of a threat than any dark skinned foreigner wearing a towel on his head.

I've been listening to him since he was on WNNNNBC and agree his 'novelty' hasn't worn off on me either. I am sick of the crappy music Clear Channel plays on their radio stations.

I think Howard Stern's a complete ass, but I don't see any reason for the FCC to take him off.

Read my posts in every other thread on similar subject matter. When the fvck did I say anyone should be censored or that I agree with censorship?
What a bunch of crybabies. Because I make an off-the-cuff post about how Stern sucks anymore?

You need a life. If that post is what causes you to not respect me, I don't want to be respected by the likes of you.

I don't care WHAT you say in another thread, Jzero. This is what you said here:

Should President Bush and the FCC force Infinity to take Howard off of the Air?

I vote "yes," but not because he is offensive, but because his "comedy" is stale and he's no longer funny.

This is all that matters. Your meaning in that statement is quite clear. You said it's OK for Prez Bush and the FCC to sensor him because YOU don't think he's funny. If you don't agree with censorship, then don't make stupid ass comments like that.

First up, I don't really see how Bush is ultimately connected to this, and how all evil is coming from him. Secondly, Howard Stern is NOT being kicked off for expressing his viewpoints, but rather the way he delivers it is blatantly against the rules set forth for him from the CC, and he refused to adjust it. Thus, he deserves to get kicked off.

Don't flame Jzero because you suck at making poll/titles. Your title ask should Howard be kicked of the air the answer to that question may be different then the poll question.
