Segal has gained so much weight he has to wear long coat robes in an effort to cover up...both of em are upChuck Norris clones...I can do without...

Seagal is absolutely horrible, van Damme, Arnold, Chuck Norris, etc etc, they all have a little self distance, and their movies are humourous.

Seagal on the other hand takes himself WAY too seriously, as if he were Oscar material.

That's why I can't stand him, even though I love b-movies, he's the only actor I know of that's bad enough to actually ruin those kinds of movies.

Seagal has a cooler fighting style, he takes down his opponents super fast. Van Damme is more woman friendly cause he's a pretty boy.

Seagal only had a couple movies I actually liked, the first couple then it was all down hill. Van Damme had two, Time Cop and Universal Soldier.

BTW: Dolph Lundgren was great in Universal Soldier :)

I liked Van Damme's movies because you were always guaranteed at least one gratuitous a** shot.

i always saw van dam as more athletically fit and capable of really playing off the martial arts moves.

seagal, his movies bail him out due to video edits that speed up his spacing and moves to make it look like he's fast.

I just watched exit wounds last night... made me laugh...

that moment when the united nations of thugs (asian black and white gang) was trying to jimmy Segal's pickup truck, and then somebody pulled a gun behind Segals head, and how he dodged a bullet... please.

Segal has Exit Wounds, which imo is better than anything Van Dam has ever done.

Seagal has probably had one or two better flicks than Van Damme but on the whole, I like Van Damme flicks better.

Seagal, definitely. While Van Damme's career fluxuates between good and bad movies, Segal's is pretty much a nice arc. His early stuff wasn't too bad and tended to get better as it went along. The peek was Under Seige, after that it was all downhill. Notice that his last few movies never even made it to theaters, they were all direct-to-video releases.

Oh, final reason why Van Damme is less of a hack than Seagal; has hasn't stooped to lending his name to movies starring rappers in them in an attempt to give them an air of legitimacy.

And I agree with ElFenix, Executive Decision was a perfect role for Seagal :D

Well, van Damme is just a recovering coke addict, whereas Seagall fancies himself a Buddhist scholar.

I think they both are terrible, but Seagall is much more irritating. He takes himself far too seriously.

All these Van Damme movies and no mentions of "Street Fighter: The Movie" or "Double Team" (with Dennis Rodman)?

Whao.. my brothers memorized the whole dialogue of Double Impact. They could repeat it just listening to the movie. Kinda scary.

He fought Bruce Lee man that GIVES him at least some credit imo :D

It is kind of tough. Seagal has liget claim to actually being able to fight. Van Damme has none but has flashy moves that look nice on screen, but I can also appreciate Seagals moves on screen.

It is a tough vote. Both had some good films I liked to watch and both right cack films!

I vote Van Damme in the end.

Most people on this board could kick Van Dammes ass. Seagal might be a little tougher.
