okay, i live in hawaii and own this phone with sprint PCS service. i've had the phone a little over a month and already i've had about 15 dropped calls and mostly all the calls that i make are 'choppy'. i was wondering do any of you own this phone or have a phone with PCS service...is the service as bad for u as it is for me.

And do you think that i can take it back to sprint for a brand new phone that's the same model?

Thanks

I use this phone with SprintPCS in Western New York and New York City. In general, it's been fine for me. Ofcourse there are areas where signals are weak, but for the most part it's been fine. The phone has been good as well. Do you know anyone else in your area who uses SprintPCS, regardless of the phone? This will determine whether the problem is with the Sprint network in your area or if it's your phone. Take it to a Sprint store and if it turns out your phone is bad then Sprint should replace it.

like just about any digital phone, when you are not in a good signal coverage area, drop..

Nextel, sprint, at&t all suck in various parts of atlanta. I think bellsouth has the only reliable coverage..

Got Sprint. Not Good. Ok in NYC, very spotty in NJ. Lotsa dropped calls. :|

Switched to Verizon after checking with many ppl. Much better. Few dropped calls. Good customer support. :)

I guess you could just check around and get the best available since costs are close to the same. If you don't do international travel, then just use whatever works best, I guess.
