To segue just a tad, if you ever want to do a quick sleaze/reality check on the company you work for, look at the amount of condiment packages people have in their desks. Anything more than a handful means you've sold your soul and can be safely ignored on any issue more important than 'what time is it?'

I'm not quite understanding what you are trying to insinuate.

Bad companies turn employees into hoarders and other less defined mental aberrations. One of the characteristics of said employees is to actively gather and hoard condiment packets past all rational use. People who exhibit this behavior are incapable of higher levels of thinking and can therefore be dismissed out of hand when important decisions need to be made as is, of course, the company who created these aberrations.

I dont. I used to buy a big box of plastic utensils and paper plates just so I dont have to wash dishes. Washing them would defeat the purpose of going with plastic. At one point I though it was wasteful so I bought a big set of stainless steel cutlery (like 24 each) at Costco and just throw them in the dishwasher every few weeks.

I always have had a SS spoon and fork in my tool chest at work, but have seen people of course just wash plastic spoons for coffee stirring etc.

Have a fork around here somewhere I ground a knife edge on one side of it on an offhand grinder just to chop things up, and used to jokingly call it my "Knork"

Had never looked it up, yeah there are some out there, I figured someone would have done it by now.

I used to at work because I often lost them or dropped them on the floor. If it were a metal utensil, it'd have to go through a vigorous washing. Plastic? Chuck it, open a new one.

I tend to avoid plastic cutlery but at work I do have a box of forks for when I order food. I don't reuse them. I kinda feel bad throwing anything made of plastic in the trash though. Plastic takes thousands of years to decompose. I should probably stop being lazy and just have some metal ones at work and wash them after use.

I think hoarding condiment packets has more to do with whether or not you grew up poor.

On topic: I reuse the same plastic spoon for stirring coffee for weeks, but I'll toss one used for food.
