I read this @ GlideUnderground, that got the story from 2600.

<< In a recently poll at 2600, a popular Hacking and electronic privacy e-zine, shows that much of their community supports Nader for president of the USA. The poll had 1000 respondents. This gave Nader a 55% of the poll, followed by Harry Browne (Libertarian Party) with 32% of the vote. Gore and Bush both trailed with 3% each. Read the rest of the story.

Hehe, that's the future folks. Just wait for these politically dyed-in-the-wool old fogeys to die off, and we'll see the political winds change quickly.

That's rather surprising -- I would expect the Libertarians to appeal to them more since they are very hands off for the federal government, the main bogeyman for hackers.

Fringe politicians, fringe voters. Don't hold your breath, BoberFett -- there are always more people in the ranks ready to step up and fill in for the old fogeys. :D

There was some poll online here at KU. Nader got something like 98%. Of course, I'm pretty sure someone was wankering with it.
