I think Washington is the best state. I like Seattle, its the best place in the USA I have been to.

As for Texas, its not to bad, Austin is the new silicon valley. Intel, Dell, AMD, samsung, moterola, IBM, TI, Compaq(sucks), etc. If I recall Austin has the largest population with people that have more then one computer in the home.

Californians? I rate about a 2. Because you all are moving to Austin and driving up are damn cost of living and housing costs. Dont get me started on the traffic and the way you californians drive in it, your crazy!

California (1-10 10 is best)

Weather: 9
Traffic: 3 (What a congested city)
People-
- Looks: 8 (Really good looking people)
- Intelligence: 2 (LA natives are the dumbest folk ive met in a while. bad schooling... all the intelligence comes from the transplants)

I beg to differ...I think it's in Colorado. 🙂

We got IBM, Intel, Sun Microsystems, Compaq, Lucent (Avaya), Hewlett Packard, Quantum, Maxtor, Agilent, Amgen, AT&T, Worldcom, Boeing, EDS, Cisco, Covad, Echostar, Ericsson, Fujitsu, Lockeed Martin, Macromedia, Nextel, Oracle, Qwest...too much to list...here's the complete list: http://www.colorado-jobs.com/techcompanies.cfm 🙂

Highest tech job growth rates:
Colorado Springs, Colo., with 77 percent; San Francisco with 65 percent; Houston with 64 percent; Denver with 63 percent; and Sacramento, Calif., with 57 percent.

Home PCs: San Jose, Calif.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; Portland, Ore.; Salt Lake City; and Washington, D.C., top computer penetration, with PCs in at least 65 percent of all homes as of August 2000.

Must chime in here...Russ was wrong when he said Washington's the worst state. Colorado is definitely the worst state in the lower 48s. We get dumped on by snow...and the air is thin...and...the roads are dominated by SUVs...and worse is the fact when you come to Colorado, you're not really escaping California, as Colorado is an extension of California now.

Spread the word, Colorado is the worst state bar none.

<< negative 10? >>

I live in California. I like it here. Not all people are great, but what state is filled with great people?

I dont trust them one bit. You always here "about the horrible smog in LA" but if you look into the fatcs, you will see LA has some of the cleanest air in the country. They are just trying to keep ya away. You know kinda like how the named "Iceland" to keep folks away.

CA rules, everybody should live here. Oh, wait it's pretty packed as it is. Stay away, stay far away, especially you Texans.🙂

Hehe...looking at the poll, there's not a lot of middle ground. There's an old saying.... Well, not there's not. So I'm gonna make a NEW ONE. Everyone who says CA sucks has never been there, or is insanely jealous.

I don't live in CA, but I will in roughly 1000 days.... Countin' 'em down. 🙂

I shouldnt post, I shouldn't post, comon trenton ddont...oh what the hell

Im a reagonlist to the core anything east of the missispi we should sell to Japan and have them deal with. New York has passed its warrinty date 50 years ago, I dont care how big their buildings get are how many buissnesses move there they will NEVER catch up to the already horendous and ever ludicrisly rising co$t of living. Everyone their is pissed off and with good reason New York has no future. The inovators are all dead and their 300 story corpses are growing mold that the rest of New York is forced to live off of.

LA is nice Silicon Valley is at an all time climax. But if you whant to survive in technology dont invest in today invest in tomorrow. Houston and Dallas and the RGV. Texas is on its way up! Were going to rip the shirts off your backs and you dont even no it. HAHAHAHAHA

I shouldn't have posted that
