POLL: Racing. What is your favorite?

I prefer CART out of the choices listed.

F1 is boring to watch. Not enough top teams. But cool technology.
IRL is only ovals.
NASCAR. Cool old style big blocks. Not a great fan yet. Only ovals.
CART has great close racing. Good variety of race tracks.

NHRA/IHRA drag racing 🙂 next would be F1 or nascar, but it has to be super speedway nascar, short track is boring

I like all kinds of racing, so I really could not limit my choice to any of those. I grew up around racing (sprint cars, and midgets), and I currently race NASCAR modifieds, but I like all kinds of racing. I will watch anything, and if given the opportunity, I would drive anything.

OK folks. This poll is just for track racing. NHRA was not the kind of racing I meant to start with.
WRC is also completely different.
The poll is supposed to be between the Top 4 track racing styles. Yes, I know there are hundreds of other classes and types.

Like bunker said, there are two road courses they race on. And, those aren't big blocks.

I voted for CART, they have the best balance of technology/competition and have some great road courses. But it's the worst managed/promoted of any of them -- and their TV situation is pathetic. I used to follow F1 religiously (get up at 6AM on Sunday and watch), but the lack of passing has just gotten ridiculous, and if you don't have Speedvision you're out of luck anyway.

If you want exciting, competitive racing where they actually take chances and make passes, Superbike and MotoGP are great.

If you really want to see some exciting wheel-to-wheel, door-to-door, whatever-to-whatever racing, go out to a local short track (dirt or pavement) on a Saturday night and see the races. You can see late model stock cars, modifieds (what I race), sprint cars, midgets, trucks, legends cars, etc. Every week we are putting on great shows that really enterain the fans. Saturday night short track racing is never dull, and watching racing live is always much better than on TV.
