I am updating my resume and have taken a couple of seminars or workshops. Should I put them down as seminars or workshops?

ie, Design of Experiment Workshop or Seminar

I hate white collar jobs because we get salary and no overtime. Sucks working 60 or 80 or even 100 hours a week and seeing another penny.

I still can't decide. It was a seminar that I went to that was called a workshop. Seminars sound nice, but a workshop is more hands on which they were.

1) Only put them down if there were relevant to the type of work that your looking for.
2) If the title does not describe what the workshop was about then leave it off

Remember that a resume is like an ad for you. You want to sell yourself to employees. It's not a shopping list.

1) Very relevant
2)Design of Experiment(DOE) Workshop/Seminar says everything about what it is and anyone in my field would know what it is. I wouldn't want to work for company that doesn't know what a DOE is. Don't you just love engineering.

The other seminar/workshop was team process which companies are always looking for. It shows the ability to communicate with others you work with. The old job paid for both of them which run about $1000 each. That was before the declared bankruptcy.

it depends. if you have 10 years of experience out in the workforce, I wouldn't. But if you're fresh out of college, you might as well, especially if it has something to do with the job you want.
