I like going to the theater. Usually, I don't see movies when they first come out... but it was really fun to see Phantom Menace on its opening weekend. The atmosphere was electric- people were even cheering and stuff during the previews :)

I like to wait a week or two, and then either go pretty late so there isn't anyone there or go in the afternoon, when its still cheap, unless my friend can get me in for free, then its all good.

Unless it is a movie I have really been anticipating I usually wait a week or two and go during the day. I have a problem paying 7.25 for a friggin movie. :-|

It depends on the movie. Some movies are definitely better seen with a crowd. I think in general I like mostly empty theaters, mainly because you don't have to put up with noise.

I don't like noise. If you have kids or cell phones, leave them at home. And laser pointers too.

I don't like people putting their feet on the back of my seat.

I do like smuggling food into the theater. I don't like paying $4 for a bag of popcorn. And $3 for a Coke. I think their prices are ridiculous (yes, I know that concessions are where they make their money). Also, smuggling food past theater security feels so.......bad - I like it.

I like theaters that clean between shows.

I like high-back chairs in stadium seating with about a zillion speakers cranked up to their max level.

I like BIG screens. A new theater in our town has great stadium seating, but screens that are smaller than my television.

I like good movies. It seems like too many recent movies suck. If the theater is going to rape me with their ticket prices, I demand that the entertainment is worthwhile.

I like to go alone to the movies and in a theater that has a good crowd but not full. I like a good crowd so watching a movie becomes a shared experience that can heighten a movie but I don't like it full because I like having empty seats by my side (and since I'm short I don't like having tall and big people seating in front of me).

I'm a theater whore (anytime, anywhere). The only thing that bugs me are the teenage punks that act up closer to the front rows. I always feel like opening a theater for ages 18 and up(not because of content, but because of maturity of the audience) whenever those annoying bastids are around.

I rarely go to the movies because the experience is so inferior to what I grew up with. When I was a kid movie theatres and screens were huge with cinemascope being the king of these. With all the technological advances it is sad that movie theatres have been reduced to little cramped postage stamp sized rooms in a Cineplex 50. I consider myself lucky if the movie is actually aligned properly on the screen and have to sit through commercials of all things. All in all todays movie goer has no idea what he or she is missing. I can only imagine what the movie experience would be like on the screens of yesterday and todays awesome sound sytems.

Why must I always be a part of the majority when I vote in the ATOT polls? First it was the question of when one lost their virginity, then it was whether or not one makes their bed, now this. Anyone else consistently in the majority?
