Poll: Possible hot: Compact Flash Card

Hi,
I'm new here, so if ti's not hot or someone already posted it, don't blame me.
Buy.com has Kingston 128MB CF Card for 135.95 (after rebate).
Anybody know if it will work with Kodak DC4800?

I have no problem with that card.. in fact I own 6 kingston cf/128s.. had more when there was the 30 off 150 @ buy.com and 30 off -> 175 (way back then) - 30 off - 30 rebate...

The flash works on all my stuff, including compaq ipad, handspring visor, canon s100, hp c30.

Good find, Kingston makes high quality CompactFlash media. Some cameras will only accept 64MB or 96MB max so make sure that your camera can handle 128MB.

yeah, some camera or mp3 player can't even take more then 64mb.. weird... thought that cf design eliminate that limitation.....

512mb cf are in the works... so don't bother with microdrive since they suck up too much power and it may crash... 🙂

The 128Meg Viking CompactFlash works great with the Kodak 4800, just installed mine today (from newegg.com for $128 shipped) and it works great. Can't beat storage for 129 3.1 Megapixel pictures.

The Kingston works with my Nikon 880 too. I noticed that it's much heavier than an 8 or 48 MB CF card.

Do the other 3+ MPixel cameras take images in TIF? The Nikon 880 has the option of doing it, but images are ~10+ MB. The Quicktime movie mode is neat too.

The microdrives only work in cameras/PocketPCs that take type II CF cards. Since my Jornada only takes type I, I'm really looking forward to those 512MB type I cards! But they're going to be expensive.
