Don't ask the reasons, please (they're kinda pathetic).

Basically, I'm writing a pet, akin to Dogz or Catz of those "olden" days. I'm still designing, and I'm stuck on one question.

Would you rather interact with a virtual pet by clicking/right-clicking on the pet as it scampers around your desktop and then selecting from a little pop-up menu, or would you rather "control" it via either a system tray icon or a little window or menubar that sits on top of the screen?

PS: Must admit, always wanted to see what clicking "Create a Poll for the thread" did...
 
Voice interface. A pet that recognizes it's master's voice and responds differently to strangers. One that can be trained to do tricks on command. The mouse could be used to give it treats and pet it ... maybe an "i-feel" mouse. Other than that a system tray icon.
