i've only used AIM, i would try out the other ones, but all my friends use AIM so i'm jus sticking to that for now.

Jacob.... I think that imici has file trasfer.... I'm not sure if it works, but it is there when you message someone.

Been using icq for years now, I have aim installed cause a friend of mine refuses to switch so occasionally I turn it on and look for her but that's about it.

ICQ

I actually hate ICQ. The program getting worst and worst in every new version. But all my friends are using ICQ and I FORCED to use it 🙁

Is there any other programs that i can use to contact friends in ICQ?

i use ICQ and AIM...
AIM is nice for long conversations cause of the window layout,...
but for short little back and forths, i like how icq's classic mode only pops up the window when you want it to and handily dissapears till the next message...

File transfre over ICQ also seems to be faster IMO, although AIM seems to be a tad bit more stable...

my 2 cents...

I use both AIM and ICQ (well, the Linux versions of the two), but I really hate AIM (just keep it open for the people who use it exclusively).

MSN Sucks ass peeps. I hate it with a passion. AIM and ICQ SHOULD have something where you can share lists.... they are both AOL.....

I use ICQ and AIM, however I'm very partial to ICQ... Actually, I think earlier versions of ICQ were better... the current versions of ICQ have too much crap on them, and the earlier versions ran better on my computer at home (an old Pentium 150!!)... but too many people I know use AIM, so I had to go follow the masses and use it to... :/

I hate ICQ, because it's so freaking bloated... but i use it because i know too many ppl on it... just don't have it loaded all the time. Often i just pop in and pop out.

AIM is loaded all the time, but i think it could be better... no history is a pain, so is not being able to message while offline.

icq and only icq because all people i know is on icq
try msn messager because of the cool pc to phone for free feature, but that is crap too.
until msn fix the quality of pc to phone feature, i be on icq for a while
