Poll: PLEASE HELP!!!

hi all
i really need some help on this.......
ive got a celeron 400@500 on qdi legend 5 lx (oldie) 64mb ram an d an creative geforce pro(ddr) and when i
overclock the clock or the memory the performance decreases!! why the hell does this happen??????
most intriguing is the fact that when i install the det 6.18 over me 5.3 performance also decresas slightly!!!
can anyone help me?

in 3d mark2000 my score is 3400 is that score low acording to the specs of my pc?

I`m not sure if you are using Creative or Nvidia drivers but if you were using Creative drivers & switched to Nvidia make sure you uninstall all Creative drivers & Blastercontrol 4 first before installing Nvidia drivers.

hmm, reinstall the os! i know it's waste the time, but better than nothing

Nope... the 6.18 drivers are more stable but offer less performance move up to the 6.26,6.27 or the newer 6.34 drivers and you will see a big jump in performance... over the 6.18`s. My scores with with a GF 2 GTS 64meg increased by almost 450 points in 3dMark2000 with a driver change...


Noticed you were running directX 7.0 move up to 7.0a also...

when i updated to 6.18 i followed the indicated steps!
in display propereties i switched to standart display adaptar and them to the 6.18
are those 6.34 on nvidia's site?
what about my score? is it low for my setup?
