The best thing I could say to upgrade is maybe some 6.1 surround sound speakers with a Audigy 2 Platinum.

Tempted on getting a 9800 pro? I know it's almost worthless considering your oc'ed 9700 pro. However I got a feeling you are itching to get it.

You could do what I did. I replaced my 80GB WD SE drive with a Raptor for the OS and main programs, and used the WD as my storage/backup drive. You could even go a step further and replace the 100GB completely with a 120GB Maxtor S-ATA 8mb drive. The EXOS is neat, but it would not affect anything performance wise. :)

Edit:

You could also get another 512mb of DDR400 while it is fairly low in price.

Get an XP2700 or 2800 or Barton 2500 or 2800 and run 200 FSB or more.

Then just get the Raptor. :) Use it for your OS and programs...makes general Windows use much faster..:)

I honestly think your computer doesnt' need anything. Its fine performance wise, and cooling.

But if you really wanna spend money, go for the Exos...

Your computer is already plenty fast.

I found this site with a comparison between the 9700 pro and the 9800 pro (with the 9800 pro downclocked to 9700 pro core). So its pretty much 9700pro vs 9800 np.

I'd add another stick of 512 Ram.

Other than that your system kicks mine in the @ss.

That's all i would throw in there too,

Your 1700+ @ 2.3 ghz will give a p4 a run for its money @ 3.0ghz...

:D

My 1700 comes in today, and since i am able to run 220FSB stable im looking for a hell of an overclock..

:)
