POLL: pick a city where you can find the worst drivers

my vote goes to San Francisco. People with absolutely no driving skills are able to get a license, so many road hazards here. Please evaluate drivers only by the ability to drive well/ fully control the vehicle.

e.g. i was parked at this one way street when this asian man honked at me in his Sienna when there were plenty of space for him to pass. He was just a bad driver, after a couple of honks i got out of the car and cussed him out, it was funny how both of them got off the car and they were trying to call the cops 😛

EDIT: ok, maybe i shouldn't have phrased the question that way.

in which US city will you find the most bad drivers on the road?

2nd EDIT: i'm missing a lot of cities here but mainly because i've never driven there, so feel free to post a city name and i'll add it on the poll!

3rd EDIT: please only evaluate drivers only by the ability to drive well/ fully control the vehicle

4th EDIT: Orlando and NJ added!

Chicago is the worst drivers i have ever seen. And ive been in all of the lower 48 + ontario + UK

Edit: Voted results because chicago isnt an option 🙂

Edit: dont believe me? take a trip on I-90 through chicago, its friggin insane. 75MPH, up to the tollbooth traffic jams, everyones weaving through traffic. They will cut you off when they dont even have room for their vehicle etc... its horrible. But if you learn driving there youre ready for anything... Even 20 crotch rockets passing both sides of your car at 130mph+

wow. I though frisco was an amazingly mellow place to drive. then again 9 times out of 10, my life is threatened when I'm driving in flushing queens-

I pick Beaverton fvcking Oregon. BFO? Hmm... not too far from BFE. 😛

Anyway, the idiots here have no freaking clue what it means to be an aware, defensive, compitent, and responsible driver.

Istanbul, Turkey has the worst drivers in the world...

totally terrifying driving there

if you've been there, you know what i'm talking about.
if you haven't.....you just don't know what bad driving is.

Most of Queens would get my vote.
Main St. in Flushing, though, is a worrld class contender, along with portions of Astoria (Ditmars Blvd.) and South Jamaica (pretty much anyplace within a couple of miles of JFK).

are ohioian drivers really that bad?

reminds me of a girl i talked to... she smashed her friend's new sunfire into a fence when she was backing up. She was from Ohio 😛

ATL traffic = fast and furious.

(I sometimes contribute of course.)

I would say ATL traffic was relatively tame compared to the rest of the US.

I voted for entire state of Ohio - it is unbelivable here.

Being Canadian, my votes for Toronto, Ontario or Calgary, Alberta.

Calgarians are worst, being both cavalier and agressive drivers. Also annoyingly tentative sometimes.

ThePresence, any recent examples come to mind?

Yes. This past Thursday I was involved in 2 accidents. One guy just decided to slam on his brakes on the Westside Highway. I was going 50 mph and it was pouring rain. I banged into him. On the way back from work a dude decides to make a right turn from the left lane. I hit his front passenger door. This was all going to go into a new post titled " the worst day of my life". I also lost like 7 hours work due to a server crash on Thursday. Fun.

The entire state of Ohio gets my vote. But I have sympathy for them. You guys ever seen the crazy 6 way intersections?

Havent been to most places. But most people in the LA area can go 90 or so MPH without hitting each other. But add rain and well...thats it.

Chicago is the worst city that I've ever driven.
But here in Phoenix, people drive fast and have no skill whatsoever.
I think Phoenix Metro is number 1 in red light crossing and fatality in intersection.

Why do you all believe it is Ohio? What about the driving there? lol, I'm from Ohio and I'm tempted to believe the same thing.

Then again, our Engineers tend to pride themselves on designing intersections for the sole purpose of confusing the general public that has no common sense (and given all the farmland surrounding the metropolises, that's quite a few (and I am from a farm too, before you all start complaining that I'm bashing farmers)).
