So what do you guys think of this situation? How could this guy come out and say all this crap about Rose? Dont you think that all the investigation into Rose's life 12 years ago would have uncovered this?

I definately think he should be allowed in. I have yet to see PROOF that he gambled on baseball. Hell even if he did, HE DEFINATELY NEVER GAMBLED AGAINST HIS TEAM. Unfortunately he will never get in with Bud "I can't open my mouth without making a complete ass of myself" Selig in office. The recent news is pure BS, that guy just did it to get his name in the paper and I'm sure he got paid too, even though he denies it. His on the field performance is hall of fame worthy, end of discussion. Since Ricky Henderson is a jackass should he not be allowed in the hall too? NO, it should only be about on the field performances.
 
As a condition of the settlement with Major League Baseball, Rose signed a document admitting that he had gambled. He's now trying to claim a different interpretation. The guy broke the code. I respect him for his baseball career, but the Hall is run by a private company. I respect their right to exclude him.
