Red Ear Slider Turtle

A friend found 11 of them when they were small (I could cup them when I was in 8th grade)

He took 3, his friend got 8. Before he left, he game me one of his 3. Last thing I heard, ALL the other turtles died; this is the only one.

I guess I "abused" it when it was young; having a FULL aquariam and not letting it rest and dock in dry area; therefore, he always had to swim to get water...endurance.

I think I have spent nearly $1,500+ on this turtle. From wrong-king of filters (fish filters) to gravel, aquariams, food, rocks, lamps, books, etc.

He is our family pet.

LOL. Oh how I know this scene. My keyboard has to be one of the toughest out there, it gets stomped on regularly, as well as some liquid (koolaid, water, pop, OJ...) dumped on it daily.

I'll have to borrow my roommates camera and take some pics of my two.

She is the more adventerous one. My other ferret pretty much lives in his hammock. When I open the door to his cage he rolls over and looks at me like he's saying "Come on dad, just 15 more minutes." Lazy Bastard

Definately cats, I've had a half dozen over the years I've lived with and loved.

I'm not a dog person at all, they stink and drool on you.

A cat, DEFINATELY. They don't require much work--they groom themselves, they're easy to house train, and they don't need walked.

Unfortunately, at my college you can't have a pet unless it's in an aquarium. Anybody know where I can buy a parahna? (Seriously.)
