O, so its kinda stupid, but its funny how some people are REALLY anal about what type of stylus they use.

yep. I have a neato looking 3 in 1 stylus/pen/pencil that's pretty slim, which I use as a .5mm pencil, but it looks like a pen

It just depends on what I'm doing. If I know I'm going to be needing to erase things (math) then I use pencil, else I use pen.

I'm used to using pencil since I'm an engineering student and trying to solve problems with pen is not a good idea. I'll only use pen for stuff like signing credit card receipts, writing checks, filling out official forms, etc. I also have better penmanship with pencil and since I'm left handed, I tend to smear the writing when I use a pen.

Depends on what I'm doing. For homework-type things, I use pencil for obvious reasons. For class notes and related things I use pen since it's easier to read later on.

My wife and I were just discussing my preference in pens this morning.
I like fine points with black ink. I can't hardly stand to use a medium point pen, much less one with blue ink.
