Death row transplant

"In 1976, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that prisoners were entitled to the same medical and dental treatment as everyone else in their community. Prisons that withhold necessary care from inmates can be held liable for violating constitutional bans against cruel and unusual punishment."

Yet according to FFMCobalt "...if there's a law in place, everyone abides by it no matter what!" So whos to say the above law just wont be broken to give the organ to a person in need right?

This arguement is stupid... why am I wasting time...

The statement I made was a ridiculous exaggeration to make a point. You obviously didn't get it. :p

My opinion is sort of extreme, but, the fact is the transplant teams & health care folks in general are typically very iberal, preferring to ignore the ethical implications of their choices.

The other thing is that these transplants are being done pretty quietly so people don't quit donating their organs, which are already in short supply.

I will be cremated anyway, with that in mind I used to be a donor.

But when motorcycle riders started being refereed to as "organ donors",by the press and police, I took that option away.
Just my little protest :)

What exactly are you protesting? You don't like acknowledging that motorcycle riding is inherently more dangerous that driving a car, for example?

Yes it is inherently more dangerous to ride a bike. The mocking by the press, I can do without.
My protest is internal. Several other guys I know did the same thing.

On another note, I like knowing that my tax dollars here in Georgia went to pay for heart bypass surgery for a convicted murder probably spending life in jail. -Sarcasm

I can actually understand and agree with the bypass surgery thing (even though I am not a taxpaying person from Georgia so what I think really does not matter) because it is not neccesarily taking a chance of life from somebody else.

However in the case of ogran transplant where there is a very finite quantity of organs, then that is indeed a major concern.
