POLL: o'reilly, limbaugh

No. O'Reilly is pretty good at presenting different opinions (in my opinion). Rush is not (again, in my opinion).

Limpbrow, the fatmanazi, is a showman who makes his living stimmulating the testosterne levels of morons.

O'Reilly has a bad case of moral outrage because he's operating our of a sense of justice. He can still stimulate morons, I guess, because I very often agree with him.

I would like to understand your views on O'Reilly...could you please elaborate further?

Thats about what I was going to say. At least O'Reilly shows a little from both sides. Rush is just a mouth peice for republicans

I just started listening to O'Reilly over break (as he was a long overdue replacement for G Gordon Liddy in DC), and I immediately liked him because, at least from what I have observed, he tries to incorporate different viewpoints into his show. I will be the first to admit that I'm not the most experienced in the world of armchair politics, so if anyone has any other views on O'Reilly's objectivity, I would be interested in hearing it.

I'm currently reading Bill O'Reilly's two books. Clearly, Bill O'Reilly isn't fully a right-winged only individual. He does a great job of presenting the facts as they are. When it comes to bashing Bill Clinton, you might think he's a republican, but then he'll start bashing some other dirt bag in our society and you'll clearly realize that he's quite neutral.

That's good to know. I'm always leery when listening to radio political analysts...and I wasn't sure which way to lean on Bill O'Reilly. He's constantly touting his books on his show...would you say they would be worth picking up?

I've never watched or listened to Rush Limbaugh, so I can't comment on him.

Bill O'Reilly's show, however, is sometimes pretty interesting. I like the guy because he's not afraid to speak his mind, and to back up his opinion with data. On the other hand, I don't always agree with him, and when I don't, he can sure be annoying.. 😉

I watched Limbaugh's show back in the day. I watch O'Reilly's show now. I listen to both of their radio shows. I like them both.

I'm in the middle of the "O'Reilly Factor" book at the moment. It's quite interesting becuase like his show, he states a fraud or corruption and then backs it up with evidence. I think the book is a good wake-up call for America to read. Way too many people get influenced by the wrong things in life. Bill kind of sets it all straight. I haven't started the "No Spin Zone" book, yet. You might want to see if your local library carries them. The first one is a small 250-300 page paperback that could be read over the course of a weekend.

A left-winger: "Radio talk shows appeal to people who can't think for themselves, and need someone to tell them what to think!" <<goes back to reading Noam Chomsky>>

so can we conclude that there is a liberal bias here at AT?? why does it always read like there is a conservative bias??

is it that more liberals are lurkers and more conservatives post more?

Well, I may have to do that, now. You've got me intrigued. I'm beginning to like O'Reilly even more (even though Howard Stern makes fun of him).
