POLL: One Week Later

The thing is, none of us were actually spending all our waking moments thinking about the arrival of HL2 all the time it was delayed.

If we had done that, I don't think any game would be 'worth the wait.' It's not like we were slaving in hell to play this game.

Simple answer: This game is good.
 
I've yet to purchase the game thru Steam because of Steam issues, trying to save money, playing other games, etc.

Unfortunately, this thread isn't helping my willpower AT ALL. 🙂
 
Yeah,

I don't generally play many single player FPS games, but HL2 has got me hooked. I'm only in Route Kanal, but it's further than I get with most FPS games, so yeah, it's worth it IMO.

I normally hit MP as soon as I get FPS games!

I've only reached the place where you get the ant lions, but I think it's quite enjoyable. Luckily there have been lots of great games between HL and HL-2, so the waiting wasn't really that hard. I'm looking forward to all the nice game taking advantage of the new engine.

Interactivity,gameplay,gfx,plot,characters are m-a-g-n-i-f-i-c-e-n-t
I absolutely adore HL2 because it combines all these in a unique way.

Definitely, yes. I just finished it, and it was the best FPS I've ever played.

However, either it was too short, or they left way too much out of the story, and the ending was in my opinion a huge disappointment.
