Id say between $400 and $700.

Usually CPU/Mobo/Graphics every year, HD/Memory/Sound every 3 or so unless im forced by a platform change.

It depends on what I have to upgrade. This year I upgraded a 2 year old board, CPU, DVD, PSU and case. I guess I spent $600 in a few weeks. What eats me up are the extras that I don't keep track of, like keyboards, mice, external HD enclosures, spare drives, headphones, speakers, media, and a game now and then. My next splurge will be for a new video card and more external storage, so this year I will spend a grand easy. I should be set for a while so next year I expect it to be much less.

In the last 3 years alone (I added all my receipts) for my computer and everything in it and the stereo system used with it and all gadgets and gizmos connected or related to it I have spent nearly 10,000.
