As you can see, DPC is really pumping out the work, and has many more members than we do.
If DPC and TA continue at this rate, on april 4th DPC will pass TA in the points:

We know how important it is to stay in 1st place in at least one of distributed.net's projects.. Perhaps we need a little bit of team strategy to stay ahead in at least one of them (either one.. have quite a few people move clients from rc5 to ogr, or from ogr to rc5)..

Just my 2 cents. Some of you know my stance on which project I prefer, but either way. 😉

I have a K6-2 ready to go online when I get a NIC that I just bought in the AT-FS forum...it'll be a couple of days before it gets here, but sound the bugle for a SETI cavalry charge!

well, maybe only a little bugle, it's a K6-2 350😱
 
Actually, the replies were kind of what i expected.. just means that i still dont have a really good reason to switch any computers over to rc5.. well maybe a p3 or 2 cause the OGR stinks on them now.

Time to assimilate some more computers.
 
Another thing to consider the last few days is the fact that many are flushing what they had saved due to the changeover in Dnet clients as directed by Moose. I think the rate will drop once the extra blocks are out of the pipeline. 🙂

Maybe not enough to keep us from going to #2 at some point, but a little more time indeed.

 
Ok, I admit, I was trying to use some scare tactics in that e-mail.. probably mostly subconciously too. I agree that the rate will slow down, but they still are a good force to be reckoned with.. might as well try to get ahead now, rather than wait until later and we have to get lots of machines to gether at the last minute. Thats my belief at least.
