-win2k is definitely better. I worked as a sys admin for 2 years. I got to use windows 2k advances server on a network with about 100 computers running win2k pro. That thing is pretty idiot proof, didn't give me much trouble (except on AMD systems

).
-office 2k/xp: I haven't used any other office software, but I'm pretty satisfied with office. Especially, from the developers point of view.
-IE: the guys in our company who work on thin clien stuff say it's much easier to work under compared to netscape. As far as stability goes, both crash a lot
-VB: Well, I don't know any alternatives.
-VC: I love it. I used borland before, but VC is a lot better for huge projects. The one I'm working on now contains 5000+ source code files. I don't see borland handling that well.
- SQL server is pretty good but Oracle is much better IMHO.
-Their tech support is one of the best out there.
Well, this is just my experiences. Others may perhaps disagree.
