Poll: Nokia 3390 -or- Samsung N105 w/ VoiceStream

RossMAN

Grand Nagus
I currently have a Nokia 6190 with VoiceStream Wireless and I intend on using the phone until I lose it, it gets stolen or I break it. VoiceStream is offering substantial discounts through their "upgrade service" at 1-888-567-9910.

They're offering me either a $49.99 Nokia 3390 or $29.99 Samsung N105.

I've always been Nokia customer but would consider the Samsung if it's a better phone.

Which would you choose and why?

I'm less inclined to get the Samsung N105 after seeing it's picture noticing it's a FLIP PHONE (which I dislike).

Otherwise here are some fairly positive Amazon.com customer reviews

I hate flip phones as much if not more than you do. (Which is why I hate all of Sprint's current phones - the 2 non flips are just plain ugly though - I had to resort to eBay to get a Nokia 6185)

I got for my parents for Christmas the 3390 - rock solid, been dropped but works great. Battery life is great, reception is great - my only one complaint is that the volume of the earpiece imho is a little weak, even with the volume juiced up. I might just listen to music too loudly though - I'd def. take the 3390 over the N105 though.

Thanks for the helpful post RagingBITCH.

Unfortunately my curiosity got the best of me and I ordered the Samsung N105 for $29.99 shipped from VoiceStream's upgrade line.

Before ordering I did read a few dozen Samsung N105 posts in the UseNet NewsGroups.

I figure if I hate it, I can always sell it on eBay or I'll just lose $30.
