[Poll] New forum for Religion + Philosophy

OT currently seems like the most appropriate forum for threads on religion/philosophy, however the flame-filled threads about Christianity or Evolution that keep popping up just seem out-of-place to me when looking at the other threads.

Thoughts?

Considering this site if primarily for IT issues, having a forum for every single off-topic subject out there seems a bit silly. If you don't like getting flamed, don't post here.
 
It does get old. I can hardly come here without seeing "Christian", "Evolution", or "Religion" in the title of one of the topics. But I agree with Slick that we can't create a forum for every single issue.
 
I agree that seeing a lot of "religion" threads in Off Topic lately is annoying, but as others have said I don't think it warrants a separate forum. I'm not sure how "philosophy" fits in there, however (at least, philosophy in general or as a whole).

pretty much, as far as AT is concerned religion is off topic. Just because there are plenty of self righteous asses who have an opinion (from every spectrum) they want to express on it lately doesn't mean it gets it's own forum.

- Most people are moderate and respectable enough..... and keep away from the anti religious bashing, anti-anti-religions bashing....

Just like this guy wants a separate forum for religion so he doesn't have to see it, we want a separate forum for programming so we don't have to wade through the flame-baiting and trolling over in Software. Except our request is quite a bit older than his.
 
Not that I care whether the religious get to have their own forum, but if it keeps their crap away from off topic, I'm all for it.
 
No. OT was created for that purpose, not just reposts of "weird news" and celebrity gossip.
 
SEND THE CRAP TO P&N. Am I the only one that remebers when there weren't 2-3 active religion threads every day? 😕
