Have you tried to run a dedicated game server with your Netgear router? I'm having trouble with my Linksys, and am thinking about trying another brand. Just don't want more of the same.

I ordered one of these from Amazon on Friday, screw dealing with Staples, I'd rather spend a few extra bucks.

is there an autoreconnect feature to enable the connection when the line drops? Is it built in the bios or do I have use gear minder? Thanks!

Yes, it does have more features but it is not as fast as the RT314. Yeah, for most people it may not matter but I get upwards to 4 - 4.5 Mbits down with my cable modem and routers like Linksys with reduce that. I am not sure what the bandwidth limits are on the SMC and the NetGear but if you go to practicallynewtworked.com you will find the SMC rated as fast and the NetGear as VERY FAST. I think the Linksys is only relatively fast which equated to about 2.5Mbits/s.
