Writing an article for an e-zine I'm involved w/ about CDRW. (I'm "in charge" of reviewing hardware/software/video games etc)

Anyhow, Just wondering which cdrw everyone uses... I'd post this in GenHard...but its kinda off topic so here I am :)

Also, I need as MANY people to vote in the poll as possible...I cant come back w/ like 10 participants...like 40 or 50 would be nice.

Thanks!...and if you have anything to add like "I have This HP 9110 CDRW and its the biggest piece of &*@#!!!!" thats fine too :)

Smart and Friendly CD Racer 2x/2x/24x - god almighty himself probaly couldn't make this drive any worse. In other words, it SUCKS!

yzzim, if people want to give their cdrw specs thats fine I can probably use that somewhere...but I really MOSTLY need ya to vote in the poll :)

edit: I goofed. I didn't read your request for comments line.

On box number one, I have a TEAC 532S CDROM drive that speaks SCSIeese to its cousin, a TEAC R56S CD-R drive, and a close friend of the family, a Yamaha CRW4416SX external drive.

On the number two box, I have a more mundane setup; a Goldstar 32x CDROM sending data only (I have to consider MP3s "data" as opposed to "music") to an HP 7200 series 2x burner.

All of the systems run on Adaptec EZ CD 4.0. Like everyone else in the world, I have had trouble with flakey installs of this software, but as of the last few months, I haven't made a single coaster. If it weren't for AOL 6, why I'd run out of places to put drinks.

Plextor Ultraplex 40x and Imation 8x20 flashed to Plextor.

Damn smooth combo. Not a single coaster in over a year.

Acer 2x2x12 I think - it's been awhile since I looked at them (2 of 'em)

HP 4x2x24 Again, not sure 'cause who remembers after it's been stuck in the computer awhile :p

Acer 10x8x32 which I'm sure of 'cause it's still sitting in its box on the floor under one of the computer desks where it will probably be for months 'cause that seems to be where MOST of the computer hardware has to be quarantined before use or some such equally valid reason for it not actually being IN a computer.

Should be enough to finish it...but people can still vote...I havent started the article yet.

Hzl_eyed_grl, well, I guess if a cdrw is all ya want.... I have a broken one in the closet...but I was thinking like... 100,000 dollars...but I'll send ya a broken cdrw :)
