i do this frequently. When 3D Surround is imperfect, 3D Vision on a single panel might be great. Or 2D Surround might work best.

It is all done in a few seconds in the Nvidia Control panel. Kudos to their driver team for making it simple and fast!

Cool, thanks for the hands-on feedback.

I have both. I am more impressed with surround than I am with 3D.

It's just too bad more games don't support 3 screens correctly. The HUD in the wrong place can be a game breaker. Bezels don't bother me at all and quickly go unnoticed when gaming.

3D, while pretty cool, has visual quality issues, is still 1 screen with the same FoV, and in the end is isn't quite as immersive as surround.

Use just one monitor at current. When the Radeon 7000s drop in the fall and push performance up where it needs to be, I am going to get a couple more and go eyefinity then.

Not into 3D, in its current implementation I find it lacking.

I used to have nvidia's 3D vision... it was great fun for awhile, but I got too frustrated with lack of support, and stuff like ghosting and junk.

I have three monitors now, and have no plans to get rid of it, I absolutely love it.

Triple monitor here as of last week, and while I bought them originally for gaming (which has been hit and miss) it's absolutely amazing for general use and productivity.

If I went 3D I'd do it with a single massive HDTV, somewhere down the line...but am content to wait for the tech to mature first.
