You forgot one of the best trilogies of all time:

"The Man With No Name" trilogy. A few of you will know what I'm talking about. They are classic movies.
I have two on DVD so far. Need to get the third.
I only have the "best" one on DVD, but would like the others.
I picked up A Fistful of Dollars at FYE for like $8-9 a couple weeks ago. ;)

To be fair, godfather is a lot more difficult to watch than lord of the rings. It's dark and slimy, and most of the characters are difficult to like. It's excellent, though. I haven't seen 2 or 3 yet though I do own them.

ive only seen 1 of the lotr movies (rotk), and it was alright. inot interested enough to see the prior 2 though.

ive never seen a full star wars movie, keep falling asleep. (even fell asleep in the theatres during the 'episode i: prequel' movie) so, im done trying. i passed on #2 and more than likely will pass on #3.

ive seen and adore the godfather, terminator, and back to the future series (dont really care for the 3rd installment of each of these trilogies though, but the first 2 are such great movies that i can still enjoy the series as a whole).

I'm sad at the lack of Godfather viewings. :( (parts 1 and 2 only, 3 you can skip)
I have seen all 3 of every trilogy up there except Blade (didn't see 3), BTTF (2) and Godfather (3). Only 2 of the Lethal Weapons (didn't see 2 and 3)

Fistful of Dynamite isn't part of the "Man With No Name" series, is it?

I agree, I prefer #2 to #1, but I still consider #1 to be one of my favorite movies all time.
Hmm on that note, maybe I'll fire up GF2 - I can't count how many times I've seen that movie, but it still blows my mind at how good it is.

edit: forgot a verb

Lethal Weapon - Tried to watch the fourth one, I really did, but the liberalism was so thick in that movie I just couldn't keep watching.

yeah, not taking away anything from #1, which is still a great movie. but the repeat factor and how the movie focuses on michael more in #2 is what draws me to it and is why i declare it my favorite. the whole family betrayal plot and all, and keeping enemies close is what makes it for me. of course, cant ignore the great scenes in #1, sonny's brawl, sonny's ambush, michael in the restaurant. good stuff. its just a movie you can appreciate over the years.

another one here dissappointed at the lack of people who have seen godfather movies

correct me if im wrong but I believe its the only movie to have the original and sequal win best picture (1973 and 1975) and this was when best picture was actually given to good movies
