Anyone interested in the JamIt (and it's likely not very good, but for sales tax on $15 I am willing to try it) and looking to price match elsewhere. There is a $15 rebate form on www.jamonline.com as well as a $20 at http://www.jamonline.com/promo/jamitcoupon.html but both of them say "Not valid if rebate amount exceeds retail or etail purchase price". KMart.com has these for $14.99 and I assume I could get my local store to sell it to me at that price (I know they have them there) or worst case have them PM the BB ad, but it would invalidate the rebate. I assume the Best Buy rebate form will be different than the online version. Unfortunately, I do not have a BB near me. So I guess if I go to KMart I will have to get them to sell it to me for $15 so I can have the rebate.

UPDATE: I called the 877 number on the rebate form. The "may not exceed retail price" is on the rebate form but NOT in their computer so they are not going to enforce it when you send in the form. The $20 rebate IS still valid but only at certain retailers (I only asked about KMart and they said yes). The $15 rebate is available everywhere and also does not have the price limitation printed on the form.

HawkEyeNJ,

Thanks for the scans. Saves me checking out the early edition of the Sunday paper.

However, not to complain . . . but can you post the rest of the Best Buy Ad. I need a TV.

Thanks Again.

<< Are those Imation cdrs good quality? >>

AFAIK all high-speed Imation CDRs recently manufactured have been CDRIdentified as CMC Magnetics phthalo, exactly like the Kingstons except for the silk-screening. They aren't Taiyo Yuden-quality but I've never had issues with them so they're passable. Good deal.

Your resolve is impressive, HawkeyeNJ-- keep it up so I don't have to pick up a single newspaper. :D

hey, how do i vote for hawkeyenj? i voted yes in the forum poll, but how do i vote for the individual user? I LOVE learning about the ads before they actually come out. Now i get extra time to plan out what to buy! btw, BB has the BEST rebate fulfillment...i've gotten every rebate ever sent in. Those imations are great cd's for the price. THanks hawkeye!

Yes keep up with all the pre sales flyers, it is nice to see what all the stores are selling a couple of days before the sale starts.

If you want the Philips CDRW, that will do SD2, price match with Staples and use a $25 off $100.

Just so you guys know, the TDK 24x burner will probably hit Best Buy's shelves (or at lease the one I work at) the week after this ad. They will go for 299.99 (tentatively), but I don't know about a rebate. I looked it up myself, but there wasn't one in the system. However, on the TDK's in the past, both the 12x and the 16x had $50 rebates on them. Just thought you guys might want to know.

I grabbed that JamIt POS too. Did u ask them about the UPC symbol? Since both rebates request the original.
Also, BB printed out 2 receipts, but if u read the Terms & Conditions for the $15 rebate it says "Valid only for JamCam 3.0 purchases..." U get the same thing?

JamIt Rebate Update
Both rebates require the original UPC. Copies will not be accepted initially. According to the Rebate Guy i talked w/ this occurs often. So u gotta either wait for the rejected post card and call in explaining there were dual rebates offered & they'll process it, or call ~5 weeks after mailing and tell em. Either way, it will be honored eventually.

Are you saying that you are going to submit the BB $14.99 rebate AND the Jam $15 or $20 rebate? I am all for getting stuff better than free, but this seems to be a bit much. Insisting on the original UPC form is to prevent stuff like this from occurring (as well as not being able to return the item and still collect the rebate). There are not DUAL rebates offered -- there are multiple different rebates, of which they only want you to take advantage of one.

BTW where is the BB $14.99 rebate going to? Is it a Best Buy rebate, or Jam? I would personally just submit the $20 one I posted the link to.

Meanwhile, I never picked one up at KMart. I did not get a chance to go on Friday, then Saturday when I got there I forgot the BB circular and of course they would not PM their own web site, then this morning I was going to go and I said to myself "gee, Toys R Us probably carries this and they are likely much more accomodating on a PM than KMart", so I will try TRU later on the way home.
