While I'm not going to be buying anything next week, the previews of the adds are a great asset. Thanks and keep it up Hawkeye.

I appreciate the service you provide. I will be even more appreciative if the Radeon thing pans out. :D

I have to thank HawkeyeNJ for the PC Radio Heads-Up.. My room is very deprived of music or hype and the only way for me to get a radio going is to use my Walkman (very old). This has always been fustrating to switch between Walkman & PC cause I have only one set of speakers (4). I don't have the luxury of a stereo system or any of that type. Thanx again.

I've already bought it!

Ah Great! Wrong Thread! It's suppose to be under the Circuit City Thread! LoL...

RE: the Radeon and MP3 deal for $89 after rebate..

Is the rebate for the ATI card or the KB MP3 Player?

If it is for the ATI...this is great!
Because I think we may have another $30 rebate from KB
here

So then we have $119 - $30MIR = $89 (- $30MIR = $59)?

Anyone?

Bananas? What's up with these weird items appearing at OD? Last week it was cigarettes.

Hawkeye, are these bogus deals or are they real?

HawkeyeNJ-- "can we talk?" :D

I'm gonna be honest here. Please don't take offense. This is said in the spirit of discussion & constructive criticism, not attack.

I love that you post these. It must take you a lot of time and effort. And I know that there's no benefit to you, and that you do it out of sharing and community. I do appreciate it greatly!!

THANK YOU!

However over the last few weeks, I've felt a little oppressed because it seems that sometimes you are a little overprotective of the threads. I understand the issue of forum clutter and what not, but I feel that things kind of have to take their own direction and if that means a split off thread, so be it.

And that's a reflection of my personal browsing habits - others might do it differently, but if I have to read over 100 posts to find 6 that apply to something in particular I'm interested in (because the other 94 relate to other deals at that same store that same week), I'll be irritated. That's why I prefer shorter, targeted threads. It's difficult to wade thru so many posts.

What I'm saying is--> consider posting the information and letting the final result take whatever shape it does. It will be different every week. I think I got the drift in previous posts of yours that the mods had contacted you about these? but as you might guess, :) I don't know the details.

Regardless, take these comments in the spirit of comraderie and friendship. Thanks again for what you do.

EDIT: I also want to add that you do an amazing job of keeping your first post updated with the relevent findings that people have posted in the thread, and that helps when the threads get so long. Also, I think you bring posting to a higher level by always crediting people who help out by finding new angles to look at the deals and finding rebates and all. I voted yes for you in the poll.

Stingygrrl,

I agree at one point. Browsing through the whole thread, especially a big thread with 200+ posts, would take some times for people on dial-up (I've been there ;)). Personally, I don't mind sharing what I know to people who ask about something that has already been answered. But please try to find it first, and if it's too much for you to figure that out, I'm sure people here are always happy to help you out :)

Great work there Hawkeye...thanks for your effort.
