S600/S500/S430 vs 745i/745Li, MB
does BMW make a car that competes with the CL600/500/55?
also depends on the transmission... if I were to get an automatic then I don't think I'd get a BMW, unless it were the sequential shifter in the M3
btw, if I'm not mistaken, the SLK comes in a stickshift
Either way, both make very nice cars... the M3/M5 and the AMG tuned Benzes are nice too.
As for the dealer experience I'd have to go with MB. Nothing beats free donuts and soda in the lounge while waiting for your car to be serviced. I don't see BMW doing that (at least not at Assael BMW where my friend goes) MB seems much more classy and elegant than BMW, which seems to be geared more towards sportiness and the "ultimate driving experience". Judging from experience, the "typical" MB driver tends to be more snotty and snobbish whereas BMW drivers seem friendlier and are more enthusiastic... I'm probably a little biased because I go to all these BMW meets with my friend and all we do is gawk at each others' cars and take pictures and talk
haha I remember crashing this one MB meet at the Irvine Spectrum with my friend and a few of his BMW buddies... there were a few sick CLK55's that were doing donuts in the parking lot until security came and kicked us all out =\
