POLL: Mercedes or BMW ?

The age old question : Which way do you swing? I've always been a Mercedes boy at heart, but there are definitly some BMWs i'd love to have. This doesn't include all German names, JUST Mercedes.

Ideally both, a BMW (probably M3) for my weekend pleasure driving and an S-Class for luxury. Oh yeah, and an M5 to get to work wouldn't hury either. Basically performance or luxury?

Mercedes Baby!

C-Class: The only fugly Benz series
E-Class: AWESOME. The old E-Class was better than the 5-Series and the new E-Class is gonna be better than the new 5-Series.
S-Class: The BMW 745 is nice and costs less than the S... but *damn* the S-Class is so nice.
ML: Eh, I don't like this one at all. X5 looks waaay better IMO.
SLK: I don't know much about this one... looks nicer than the Z3 though.

Then there's the SL, CL, CLK, and the G.

Except for the Cayenne 😉

Oh yeah, and not to push the site but see the sig, I'm an admin over at GCF: for all your german car needs 🙂

Even though I have an E320 right now I voted for BMW. The BMW is much more of a drivers car and this Merc isn't put together as well as one would expect.

They're both great in their own right, it depends what you want. Mercedes cars come almost exclusively with automatic transmissions and are tuned more for luxury than sport. BMW cars are ordered mostly with automatic transmissions (at least in America) but you can get manuals on almost all of their models, and the cars are tuned for sporty handling.

BMW for me because I like manual transmissions. Unless I had some desire (and a lot more money) for a big car, in which case I'd get an S500.

Being that I work with Mercedes-Benz, I'm going to have to say Mercedes, but even if I didn't, I'd still choose Mercedes-Benz. If you haven't driven a CL55, you haven't experienced a powerful fun drive!
