OK... with all this talk of The Lord of the Rings, I want to know how many of you are Medieval Faire Geeks.

I'm curious... How many of you get into the Renaissance thing?

Yes, for many years I have gone done to beautiful Sarasota FL to party on the grounds of the Ringling Museum... It just so happens that the yearly fair falls on my birthday, so I have an excuse to dress like a wench and act like a ninny all day. Hey, maybe some of you in the area can meet up with us there this year!

I would post a story, but I can't seeing as I've never been to anything like that. But if all the wenches look that good, then I'm definately interested 😉

You must be either butt ass ugly, or hanging out with the wrong people. I can go into 32 states and find atleast a few people that would go, or do 99.9% of the hairbrained ideas I come up with. You need to get away from the puter every so often. 😀

Make sure you bathe often, have decent clothes, and talk about cars... thats all you need. Guys will flock to you like a big screen TV when WWF is on.

Monel - Napalm is hardly the guy to go to a medieval fair. Even if I got him to go he'd just sulk and grunt the entire time 😉

My boss goes, but she's in her late 40's, and well, I'm not sure I wanna hang out with her for several days. My friend goes, but only to a little one, with some skanky people from our town. No thanks to that one 😉
So, I need to find some mature people, who, without getting drunk, can have fun at a renaissance fair. My college friends just aren't that type 😛

I like goin every year or two. Maryland had a really big festival, lasted for several weekends. I went to that a few times, had fun. Good food, neat shows, interesting people, fun games. There's one in Georgia, but I'm afraid to go to it for fear of disappointment.
