Why is it that Unicef can take $.30 and treat pneumonia in Africa, but we have to pay a friggin fortune to get a bottle of Asprin here??

Also look at the amount of medicine in a bottle of aspirin compared to what they're getting for 30 cents. You can buy a 200 ct bottle of 500mg pills for what, $8?

Right, but if you're buying a medicine that has to be more expensive to produce (from not being produced as often as Asprin), that is made in a US lab, that is shipped across the Atlantic on (yet again) something that has to be paid for, that has to be spread out to different communities where it was ordered from, and that is probably given to the patient by medically trainned personnel...


...wouldn't you think that if that same $.30 can pay for it, the prices here are outragous?
