or am i just an ancient who doesn't understand new school humor? :(

i'm back from a 2 year break, but OT doesn't keep me up like it used to. there were always a lot of stupid posts (like this one), but i'd consistently find a gem in the rough every day that kept me coming back for more. obviously i don't have the perspective that some of the decade vets do, but the change is still noticeable.

I would venture a guess that 75% of the members here are under the age of 18.

That is why it has become less witty, the iPod generation took over.

Sorry, but at I post less and less, the less witty ATOT becomes.

man i just noticed that L&R got split from OT. though it was probably a needed change, it was always fun bumping into a big juicy YAGT while browsing through the rest of OT's tasteless, rude, and immeasurably fun rubbish

I agree. Although it makes me feel like an old man to say it, ATOT was better back in the day.

Actually, it seems like it's mostly the more senior members who are doing nothing but leaving single smilies as replies to boost their post count or leaving old tired references from past ATOT events and back-patting each other. New ideas is probably what the place needs.

as already mentioned, the forums were divided into so many new subcategories, so all of them are more washed out now, and people who would've casually posted in a thread of a different category now don't even venture to that respective forum to post it. L&R for example is all serious now where before, we would see the thread here and just bash the stupid n00bs... it was pure entertainment! =)

Very true ... back before the creation of P&N and (gasp!) the "change of culture" debacle this place was a lot more fun.

The addition of L&R, Garage, etc has only served to dilute things even more. :(

I don't know, some things are better some are worse as always. Maybe the forum set up has changed a little with all the breaking down of topics, but I think that forum moderation has become MUCH better, back in the day people used to get banned all over the place for just choosing the wrong icon or misspelling something, seriously, and you didn't know who were the mods etc. You're also forgetting that 6-7 years ago there were probably much less than half of the people using this forum, so it was a different environment.

Can't win them all...
