Is it possible if enough people got together and maybe formed a lobby that it could be legalized

Not really. That's mainly because the group already assembled against pot is comprised of huge corporate companies that have supreme lobbying power.

But in theory it could work right? There are a lot more average joes pro-weed than there are of the big corporate types.

In theory, maybe. Still, it would take tons of money to combat the TONS of money corporate America spends on keeping it illegal.

Strange to think that the government keeps saying it has no medical benefits at all. Still, to this day, they send marijuana joints to a few Americans that were part of a national government program to provide marijuana to ailing patients.

last year i would have said blunts n bongs for sure without a shadow of doubt... this year things are different and i'm more of a booze man 🙂

I thought alcohol would have won out. A bit surprised by the pole.

For me, I'll keep my Captain and Pepsi. You can have the weed. 🙂

I would gladly contribute to a lobby for legalization if one existed and I think millions of other people would too. The cool thing about pot is that people from all age groups enjoy it and appreciate it. So if there were a seriously organized initiative to legalize it I would think it could be successful.

Simmer oil and ground Sativa buds. Make cookies or brownies. I put it in a blender with a Odwalla and some yoghurt. Goodness.

Besides... one of the ingredients of beer, Hops, Humulus lupulus, is part of the Cannabinaceae family...

It COULD work, but it doesn't. There are multiple organizations doing just this. NORML and many others. Trust me, the governement is being paid quite nicely to keep it illegal and "wage war on drugs."

The best thing I see is the shifting attitudes of Europe and Canada. Many places in Europe have virtually decriminalized it. Netherlands, obviously, along with the UK, Spain, Italy and many other places. Only the Netherlands has a big commercial industry, but possesion in most other Eurpoean countries is fine. Canada is becoming the same way. Not saying the US will immediately follow suit by any means, but it does help to start opening people's eyes to the fact it's a drug just like alcohol except not as harmful.

One more interesting stat...The percentage of California high schoolers that have tried pot IS GREATER than the percentage of Netherland high schoolers that have tried pot.

I'm shocked that this thread is still going. This was just idle musing spurred by a discussion I had with my fiancee. She was pretty anti-drug, thanks to parent brainwashing and her older brothers being burnouts - but those kids were messed up long before they took a rip on a bong. 😛

Vapour > bong > smoke > eat. Last two in that order only because making the damned brownies you have to prepare as opposed to spontaneous.

I'm shocked myself. I know of people like that--they're anti-drug because the only personal experience they've had is with people who were just fsckups in general, regardless of substance use.

definitely alcohol, if only for the taste.

and marijuana doesn't really do anything for me.

you haven't taken enough hits 🙂

I have 😉 I've inhaled too. no noticable effects. 🙁
That's not too uncommon the first couple of times... If at first you don't succeed, try, try again! 😉

Forget where you put it? 😛

This is a no-brainer (which is good since I have little many brain cells 😕 ) that weed is the winner, bong is the best, and dro' is da-bomb!
