POLL: LOTR Part 3 Or Matrix part crap?

I enjoyed the LOTR movies so far. I disliked the Matrix greatly and will probably never see either sequel. Oh well, to each their own.

Matrix Revolutions!

Have absolutely NO desire to see any of the Lord of the Rings movies. Just don't have the urge to see them. Guess I got over my fantasy world type stuff decades ago. I prefer science fiction to science fantasy.

LoTR 'cuz the first two movies were amazing.

But I'm also going to see Matrix 3 anyways, 'cuz Matrix 2 wasn't THAT bad.

I didn't think matrix 2 was bad. Of course if you're a purist and have no imagination the CGI would be annoying.

Or if you're a fanboy and see how many purist hated the movie then you would hate it too.

heres a really easy way to know the new matrix film is going to suck. if the 2nd and 3rd matrix film come out in the SAME year, then you know damn well its going to SUCKASS.

lol no that has nothing to do with if it will suck or not, they just filed 2 and 3 at the same time, but wanted to get the sales from 2 before releasing 3 and undercutting their own movie sales. Thats why they are releasing it now, and not waiting to do it every year like LOTR has done, since all 3 LOTR movies were filmed at the same time and the first 2 are amazing, and the 3rd one looks to repeat

I still stand beside the comment that Matrix 2 didn't suck, and people didn't like it just because it didn't have the ending they wanted or understand... and they won't like it until they realize that it is simply to bridge the gap between the first one and the last one. I think it'll turn out for the best.

But also, I'm about halfway through reading RoTK and I can't wait to see it, especially because of all the stuff they left out of the end of Two Towers.

My problem with Reloaded wasn't the ending, it was the whole movie. The fight scenes felt contrived and forced in addition to being entirely too long.

I'm in no hurry to watch Matrix: Revolutions, especially after seeing Reloaded. 🙁

LotR: RotK I am definately anticipating this movie. The adaption from books to movies has been amazing, and I can't wait to see how they do the wrap up.

ill agree that the fight scenes were not that great and seemed like filler, but the movie was jsut meant as a middle movie to continue story and add "filler" in a way. its not anymore boring that the first hour or so of FOTR so i dont know why people bitch

i know how the movie ends. i've read the book. the movie will never be as good as the book. though i don't care to see either, i'd rather spend money on the last matrix.

I hate LOTR because everyone else likes it so much. I'm never read the book, never watched a single movie, but I still hate it. I'm weird like that

edit: yeah Matrix 2 was horrible, but I'd rather watch the third part then LOTR for reasons even I do not know

it's called anti-social behavior...seek help 🙂

I am more anxious to see LOTR. I didn't really like Matrix 2 much, so Matrix 3 probably won't be much better.

FOTR was building up a story. Reloaded, that I can recall, didn't have much of one. I think the fight scenes were really the worst part of reloaded. In the first matrix they were COOL. Big wow effect. In the second they were all the same, been there done that sort of stuff.

And this isn't even starting with the shoddy - and that's being VERY kind - special effects at certain parts of M:R.

I know how the book ends, I meant how they wrap up certain things in the movie. I want to see if they include the Battle of the Shire and things like that.

Not with me! I didn't like it because it was boring, the fight scenes were pointless (the novel matrix combat in 1 just didn't work in 2. Combat was long, drawn out, and felt like it was just fillter). Unless the third movie changes the fighting around entirely the movie will suck equally with the second. Based on yet more tedious neo vs. smith crap that we can see in the trailer for the new one I have little doubt that three will suck too.

But that's my opinion and it's been debated endlessly to no end 🙂

The editing was awful -- especially that Zion "dance" scene

The problem is that everyone expected Matrix Reloaded to be another "breakthrough" film, with even more new effects. Also, it was hyped waaay too much. It was a good film. I didn't listen to the hype, didn't see the trailers, and even for watching it the 3rd time this weekend, it's still a good film. I again shall be avoiding the hype for Revolutions, and I'm sure that I will again be impressed with it 🙂

LOTR trilogy never interested me. The first was meh, and the 2nd was even more meh, only watched them because they were being played when I was in the room so i thought i may as well watch them.

I actually thought that the fight scenes in TTT was more samey and meh than Reloaded.
