Poll: Location of your Start Bar in Windows

I never understood why MS made bottom the default location. Top is far more intuitive to me.

I like the top because when i look at my monitor, i usually look at ther first

I got bored of having it down ther

but for WINXP i like it at the bottom but 3 times it's size

i have no idea why but it looks nice


for win98se or win2000 it's always at the top

people find me weird but ohwell

I know I'm a freak but back home I have it on the left. I just got used to it.

I use the classic windows theme in my XP. The new GUI is wayyyyy to flashy and well.... BIG. Anyways, my start bar is on the bottum, two rows high, i have my quicknav (quickshortcuts, quicklaunch?) about 6 buttons to the right, then my toolbar starts. I have my taskbar locked because it looks good I'd include a screenshot but i dont think anyone really cares that much, heh

Top with auto-hide on and always on top on.

Had it on top since I first got onto one of the Chicago betas. Hated it down below. And it's funny when people use my PC for something. Takes them a few seconds to realize it's been moved.

Bottom its just not in the way down there, and the auto hide feature got on my nerves after a while.

If that's the case , then people don't bother moving it in the first place **LOL**
Most people I know don't know that you "CAN" move it

i like it at the bottom because it looks like a foundation for the windows. when i set it to the top, it looks like the windows just float there. i'd rather have it on the left side than the top, although i dont put it on the left because the program titles are cut short as oppossed to when they have more horizontal spacing.
