Lion King is just so... touristy.
I mean, if you're going to go to NYC to see a play, why bother seeing a play produced by Disney and based on a cartoon movie? maybe "awful" is too harsh, but it just seems like such a waste of an experience. like eating at the Friday's in Times Square when you could go downtown and eat at a real restaurant.
Beauty and the Beast is just unremarkable. I saw it and enjoyed it, but 3 years later, I can't remember a thing about it. If I had paid for it, I'd have been disappointed.
