In one of the Star Wars books, Shadows of the Empire, I think, it told how Luke made his green saber. It involved heating the crystal to some obscene temp., as well as splitting it juuuussstt right and mounting it in your nicely machined handle. IIRC, Luke fscked up and had to re-do it one or twice, but he got it right and everyone was happy.

There was another book where it talked about some of the ancient jedi who made the sabers with multiple crystals. I am not sure which book, but I beleive it was one that talked about that dark jedi master that enslaved all the massasi people and made them build the temples on yavin 4 in order to channel his powers. right now I cannot remember the masters name or the book name, those new books about the "vongs" have made me forget most of the specifics from the old books.
 
so strange..its seems like all the replies are for red, but the votes is alittle over 2:1 for blue
yeah, probably cause most people don't reply..
 
come to think of it now I believe it was one of the books written by Kevin J Anderson, but I still cannot remember the title.... my book collection is all at my parents house as I don't have the shelf space here at school
 
There is no difference between colors. The type of power crystal used determines the color. You can have multiple crystals, tho, that make the saber longer.

what if you had a green crystal and a red crystal, and you put them in the same sword


or blue and red, would you have a purple one??? now that would r0x0r your s0x0rs
 
Green...like blue too, but when Luke first used his green lightsaber in ROTJ, I thought it looked soooo cool.

Have you ever listened to Starwars, Empire, Jedi radio drama? Now those are awsome! I bought the whole set on CD about 10 years ago, I don't know if they are still around though. It was origionally made in the 80's and broad cast on National Public Radio.
 
Where the hell is the purple selection? I thought purple was SOOOO cool (always picked it for multiplayer in Jedi Knight). Now Samuel L. has one and it looks bad as schnit. Guess I'll vote for blue . . . . closest in the spectrum to purple.

I have not heard those yet but I have had mulitple people tell me how good they are. Now that you also said that I think I just might have to listen to them
