no idea what the difference is..but man, the blue looks so nice
i like the color blue in general though..
 
as for "real world differences" there are none save the fact that different crystals are used. the color only depends on the type and size of crystal used. Blade lenght depends on the size and number of crystals used, some of the ancient Jedi masters had blades that could extend due to a multi-crystal design. Each additional crystal seems to give the saber about 3 feet of additional length, thus a 3 crystal lightsaber can go (on average) to 3 meters or about 9 feet.

yes, I do realize this lables me as a SW freak, but the truth was bound to come out sometime

Red is supposed to be symbolically for evil, but somone good- I forget who, uses red. Or maybe that was in a SW book? Oh, my memory is dying on me.

IIRC, it was one of the wierd looking women on the Council. I have the figure🙂D) and the saber is a really, really DARK red...kind of burgundy.

yah, I know more, but I figured I would spare everyone.... my SW book count just hit 65 with my buying "Dark Journey" 2 weeks ago... thats how much of a SW freak I am. LordMaul does have me beat in some areas as I don't actually own more than a few of the figurines so if you are looking for the ultimate SW freak to pester go after him... 😀
