LEGO is the name of the WHOLE THING, not each INDIVIDUAL FREAKING BLOCK.

That is a lego BLOCK, or a lego BRICK if you prefer. You played with lego, building things out of lego BLOCKS. I can't work out where along the line someone decided that each little block was a lego. Who told you that each block was a lego? Nobody told you that! It isn't! You made it up and claimed that it was correct! And last time I checked, Lego was not an American product...

God, did you people eat too many playdoughs as children? 😛

Correct ^

I say it's called lego. I play with lego. I had lego when I was a kid.

If you have 4 bricks in your hand you say: "Check out these lego," or "I have 4 lego blocks."

Saying I played with legos just sounds wrong.

You hate grammar don't you?

1. There is nothing wrong with the grammar in my post.
2. You spelled grammar wrong.
3. You're an idiot.
4. ...
5. Profit!

🙂

Proper Use of the LEGO Trademark on a Web Site
If the LEGO trademark is used at all, it should always be used as an adjective, not as a noun. For example, say "MODELS BUILT OF LEGO BRICKS". Never say "MODELS BUILT OF LEGOs".Also, the trademark should appear in the same typeface as the surrounding text and should not be isolated or set apart from the surrounding text. In other words, the trademarks should not be emphasized or highlighted. Finally, the LEGO trademark should always appear with a ® symbol each time it is used.

Yes but that is trade mark on a website so that doesn't apply when talking about legos in general. It doesn't say, "you must say Lego and that is it".

Ebay search
"Lego" 12353
"Legos" 11289
"Lego's" 101

Anyway, Lego may be a European institution, but if they're selling them in the US, and they are enjoying the US money, then they have to expect that us wacky USians are going to call them whatever we frigging please.

Legos for me.

AAAARRRGH!

Stop focusing on the fact that lego is from europe. If you replaced European with 'American' would your sentence make any less sense (yes it would be pointless, but would it be logically sound? yes).

I tried to continue your work, but alas, the LEGO monster overpowered me! I need a bigger knife (and napalm 😀 )

Here's a way to use it in both ways. I made a LEGO house. I made a house of LEGOS. HMMM.. maybe it's the form of the word that matters. Descriptive for a product or a single brick. However you say it... I played with many bucket o' lego in my day.

No. 1) Lego is A Lego.. It Is the whole package... Legos are individual parts from that package picked out. Really you say Lego, But you also dont say Give me those lego....you say legos...
