Poll: Lego vs Legos

I say it's called lego. I play with lego. I had lego when I was a kid.

If you have 4 bricks in your hand you say: "Check out this lego," or "I have 4 lego blocks."

Saying I played with legos just sounds wrong.

Do you also say: "I'm going out to drink some beers," or "I'm going out to drink some beer."

"beer" is a liquid which doesn't subdivide into blocks of discrete shape and volume.

But both forms are correct, depending on whether you are talking about the container ("I had 6 beers"=6 cans of beer), or the liquid itself.

For legos, it's plural.

Beer is a liquid which comes in discrete portions. 1 beer, 2 beers etc.

I enjoy drinking beer. I enjoy playing with lego.

Lego is the brand name for the toy, not the name of the individual bricks.

I also can't find a single instance of Legos with an s anywhere on the lego website.

LEGO and the LEGO logo are trademarks of the LEGO Group.

Google isn't used as a verb anywhere on their site either, yet that's how many people use it.
