Oh man...I loved BOTH shows. Airwolf took itself more seriously and was really good (until the mid second season when it jumped the shark and brought that perky red head girl in). Some triva about the show- the character Archangel was taken from the 60's cartoon Birdman which birdman had a government contact that wore an eye patch. Nice tie in
Knight Rider was a cool idea and had a great stunt team, but the storylines and "The Hasselhoff"'s Shatneresque acting makes it difficult to watch today.
EDIT: Some other Airwolf triva: Airwolf was a modified
Bell 222-B, which at the time was the fastest and most advanced civilian helicopter available. It was sold to a German firm after the show ended and the "weapons add-ons" were removed. It was used as an air ambulance after that, but it crashed in a thunderstorm on 9 June 1991, killing her three passengers.
